Aimee and David met in law school at Golden Gate University School of Law in 2018. Aimee caught Dave's eye whilst she studied away for midterms. He was too nervous to approach her at first, in the dead silent law library, but later mustered the courage to say, “hey, why aren’t you in my Con Law class anymore?”, and completely forgot to introduce himself. Fortunately, Aimee was not scared away and actually found it endearing, and the rest is history.

During law school, Aimee and Dave took to study dates in the library, study breaks eating all the burritos the city had to offer, and taking advantage of being in SF for date nights. When the pandemic interrupted their last year of law school, they indulged in building forts in the living room, binge watching Netflix, and even scavenging for toilet paper. They plunged into bar prep together, keeping each other sane during the chaos. They passed the CA Bar Exam, got sworn in as attorneys together, and have been taking on their first year as attorneys together, one meltdown and triumph at a time.

Dave proposed to Aimee a few months after becoming attorneys, while on a hike with his parents, Butch and Suze. Dave stopped the hike to take photos by Grass Lake, and got down on one knee to pop the question. They then toasted to their engagement with the Carrazco clan and sparkling apple cider.
