Todd would tell you that he had all but given up on us ever going out on a date. We had dinner plans one Saturday evening and I fell asleep and "left him on read". I don't think he bought that I had truly fallen asleep until he came over after dropping Bella off one Sunday afternoon - and I was passed out cold. I had however learned my lesson, and left the door open for him. Now he knows what a sleepy girl I am. I'm glad he was forgiving and gave me an opportunity to redeem myself. The first time he walked through my front door in his Sweetens Cove hoodie and a bottle of Weller - it was all over for me.
In all seriousness, there was something different about Todd. I know it's so cliche to say that we "instantly hit it off" but we really did. It was effortless and I felt like I'd known him all my life. He still has a way of always putting me at ease and being the calm to my chaos.
It didn't take either of us long to decide that we didn't want to know a life without one another. We've been inseparable ever since and he is truly my very best friend. Grateful to God for his provision, protection, and always keeping his promises. Todd is my promise fulfilled and honestly more than I could've ever hoped for. I hit the husband jackpot.
