Longboat Key is special to Aimee and Tyler for a few reasons: They wanted a warm, beachy, destination wedding where their friends and family could unwind and enjoy the week together. Tyler's parents recently moved on to Longboat Key and Aimee went to college in Tampa and she absolutely adores that part of Florida!

He planned the perfect day full of all of Aimee's favorite things. They did a private catamaran boat trip in Belize where they went snorkeling, swam with the nurse sharks and then did a walking tour of a small island. On the way back to their island, during an overcast sunset, Tyler popped the question.

NO!!! She was very surprised! Although she said she knew it was coming, she had NO IDEA it was going to happen on vacation.

It is best to fly into either Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) or Tampa International Airport (TPA). From Sarasota airport, it is about a 20 minute drive to Longboat Key and from Tampa it will take 60-80 minutes depending on traffic!

Upscale beachy wedding vibes :) Both the ceremony and cocktail hour are on the beach (in the sand) so keep that in mind when choosing footwear! Think cocktail attire- For women, cocktail and full length dresses are totally acceptable! Men do not need to be in suits or ties. Wear what you feel comfortable and beautiful in!

As much as we would love to celebrate with your little ones, we are requesting no small children attend our wedding reception. We will be keeping that portion of our celebration adult only.
