It all started in 2016 in Austin TX, where we shared glasses of wine and had a goal to have sushi on our first date. Low and behold, Aimee got us lost in Austin where she lived for several years. Let’s just say Google Maps and Michael do all of our navigating now! We ended up on South Congress at a well-known hamburger joint called Hopdoddy. We enjoyed the outside air, the Austin antics and lots of laughs! We both agreed it was the perfect first date ever!

Fast forward 3 fun-filled years together, we are in Greece with Michael’s family. We spent 3 blissful weeks in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Greece instantly became our favorite destination and we hoped one day we could get married in this majestic place. It wasn’t the views or the food or even the abundance of wine that made Greece so special to us. It was the fact that the two of us fell in love with each other all over again.

We are on the way to Dallas TX to meet with Aimee’s parents and go see our favorite country singer Garth Brooks. Michael got nostalgic and wanted to stop in Austin for lunch and Google Maps lead the way (Ha-ha). After a juicy burger at the same Hopdoddy where we had our first date, Michael pointed out the table we sat at so long ago and suggested a photo. We asked a stranger walking down the street to snap a quick photo of us. First photo was taken, Aimee went for the phone and Michael asked for the woman to take one more. Aimee stood back for another photo and Michael was down on one knee. Aimee’s eyes filled up with tears and Michael asked “Will you marry me?” In a state of shock and excitement Aimee’s response was “WHAT?!?!?”. Michael chuckled and ask her again and she instantly yelled “YES!!!”

And now we are returning to Greece to tie the knot and start our new chapter as husband and wife.
