Ainsley and Colby met in the dining hall in October 2010 of their freshman year at West Chester University after a mutual friend had invited them both to breakfast. Ainsley had arrived first, running on only a few hours of sleep, after inviting a friend to stay in her door room to escape a faulty fire alarm that had going off every few hours in her friend's dorm. Colby had suffered an ankle injury, and entered the dining hall on crutches and sat next to Ainsley. They quickly exchanged their unfortunate stories over a laugh and discovered they had a lot in common, including their college major.

Ainsley and Colby ran in the same circles their first year, meeting up for lunch and nights out periodically. They bonded over their love of psychology, music, and space. Eventually leading to Colby rearranging his entire Fall Semester schedule to have as many classes with Ainsley as possible.

When they had first met, Ainsley and Colby were both in relationships, which allowed them to become true friends before they started dating. Their love was founded on genuine companionship, all pieces falling into place in time. They have been together for over nine years. On their first wedding anniversary they will get to celebrate 10 years together!

Like many other couples in 2020, Ainsley and Colby had to adapt during the pandemic. They had to make a difficult decision; either postpone their wedding and lose their dream date of Halloween, or move forward and downsize everything they had worked hard to plan. After countless discussions with family and friends, they decided to have the best of both worlds.

On October 31st, 2020, Ainsley and Colby held a micro "Hallowedding"; a costume themed party for immediate family and a few friends where Ainsley and Colby held their wedding ceremony. They postponed their reception into 2021, where they will renew their vows and celebrate with everyone.
