Our Story
Match Made in Arcade
Our first date started fairly typical: dinner and a drink.
Things were going well :-) We decided on a whim to go country line dancing, but alas…. the bar was closed. We ended up at an arcade playing air hockey.
In the middle of the game the puck flew off the table and went under a racer video game. Ben, wanting to show how a man takes initiative, crawled on the floor and retrieved the puck.
When he emerged, Aislinn was there holding her phone and taking a picture with a big smile on her face. The picture was of Ben’s legs on the floor, sticking out between two arcade games.
Ben chuckled and thought to himself “I like this chick” :-D To this day, Aislinn uses that photo as her contact image for Ben in her phone. It pops up whenever he calls her.
By the end of our 3rd date, Ben had invited Aislinn to meet his family and to attend his upcoming 40th birthday.
Aislinn sadly declined as she planned to be out of town. He was quite surprised when she showed up mid event! Her schedule had opened unexpectedly, and she booked an earlier flight home so she could be there. And- she brought "40" themed tattoos for everyone.
This was only after knowing each other for about a month. We both knew this could be something really special.
Since then we’ve had many adventures. We’ve seen manatees swim under our kayak. We traveled to Scotland and Spain together. Eaten haggis and walked atop a giant mushroom together. Turned a house into a home together. We’ve taken a cruise together (Aislinn’s first!). We've even been in a car accident together - in a rental car - and got a free upgrade as a result! And, best of all, we’ve become best friends.
We are thrilled for you to come join us on our wedding day as we officially celebrate our union.
