1. Check eligibility: Head to https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html to see if you qualify (US citizens usually do!).

2. Passport ready? Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity after your arrival and 2 blank pages for the stamp.

3. Travel plans: Show them you're leaving! Have a return ticket or onward journey ticket.

4. Funds for fun: Demonstrate you have enough funds for your stay. Don't worry, they won't ask for your bank balance!

5. Apply early: Do it at least 4 days before your trip, but you can apply up to 120 days in advance.

Good news! The 30-day e-Tourist Visa is perfect for this wedding trip. It costs $25 and there's a 2.5% bank transaction charge added too.
