Our Wedding

As most modern love stories begin online, ours too began on a dating app. He claims that his opening line of "Okay, I just have to hear about the dwarf hamsters" was one he had used before which never worked for him previously. Obviously he had finally come across the perfect profile for it. After chatting on the app, Google almost thwarted the budding romance when we decided to move off app. I texted first on a Friday and waited the whole weekend for Jason to respond. When he finally responded on Sunday night writing that he had anticipated our texting would have been more robust considering our messaging on the app, I was tempted to make a snippy retort back about him ignoring me. A friend advised me to play nice and Jason was quick to provide screenshot proof that he had (according to his phone) returned my text. Our two Pixel phones had failed to send/receive making it appear he had ghosted me.

Luckily we laughed it off and eventually decided to meet in person. At the end of our first date, Jason asked me to be his +1 for his Blizzard Holiday Party at Disneyland knowing I would accept given my love of Disneyland. I must have charmed him then in my tiara while running around the park as he asked me to be his girlfriend a week after our first date. Over the next year Jason met and befriended my hamsters (and thanked them for his "in"). We got to know each other better with some small trips and we spent Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with my family in Irvine.

1st Date (reinactment)

Jason suggested a weekend trip to Catalina for our 1 year anniversary which was a little out of character for him. I was a little suspicious about this trip but he didn't propose on the island. He waited until after we had gotten back to his apartment and cooked me the same meal he made for our 3rd date. After dinner he asked to change our relationship from dating to engaged. And now here we are, about to change the relationship once again on January 22nd from engaged to married.

Zar has been a close friend and someone I consider family. We met at work way back in 2005 and got to know each other better after we went through a training program through our work to obtain our Cytogenetic license in 2006. Dang we're old... I've known Clara since the day she was born. Clara is Zar's daughter and we used to go to Disney once a week when they had passes. We would eat our way through the parks while seeing what rides she was wanted to go on. Usually it was Ariel's Adventure.

Matron of Honor and Flower Girl

Russell is my family, but someone I would have considered to be one of my best friends even if we weren't related. We share the same love for anime and videogames and have both found our professional calling in computer science.
