Are you going to have a reception when you get home?
Yes! We will have an informal gathering once we return for all those that are unable to attend the ceremony. Details to come.
Is there a payment plan option for paying for the room?
Yes! Our travel agent recommends to put 10% of the total payment down when you book the your stay at the resort. 40% down for the second payment which is due 96 days prior to arrival and then the remaining 50% of the total 45 days prior to arrival. Of course, if you'd rather pay it all in one go, that is always an option as well.
Is airfare included?
NO! YOU are responsible for securing your own airfare!
How do we get to the resort from the airport?
Stephanie should have reached out to get everyone's flight times to arrange transportation from the airport to resort and resort back to the airport. Or, the Cancun Airport has travel that you can arrange to get you from the airport to the resort via their website. This is definitely the smartest and safest option. Please think ahead! Can we bring a plus one?
If your invitation is addressed to you and "plus one" then absolutely!
Can we bring our kids?
No, the resort does not allow kids. This will be an adults only trip!
Is the resort all-inclusive?
Yes! Your stay at the resort is all-inclusive! Eat and drink as you please!
Can you just walk in to the restaurants and get seated?
Yes and no. Some of the restaurants have a specific dress code or certain hours of operations. Others require reservations. I would reach out to make any reservations as soon as you arrive as some restaurants do book up days in advance. Any air conditioned restaurants maintain a casual elegant dress code: no t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, Bermudas, tennis shoes, or flipflops. When in doubt, ask the concierge!
Are we going to be doing everything as a group?
No. The only days that will require the entire group to be together is the night before the wedding for a dinner all together and the wedding day. Your time at the resort is yours to spend however you desire (you're on vacation!). Please remember that this is not only our wedding, but also our honeymoon so please don't be offended if we don't spend every waking moment with you. If there is something you'd like to do with the bride & groom, just let us know!
What happens if we need to cancel?
You have up to 96 days before departure to cancel. At any point after 96 days, penalties will ensue.
Do we have to bring a present?
Gifts are appreciated but are certainly not expected or required. If you do choose to get us a gift, please give it to us once we return home. No need to drag a gift down to Mexico.
Do you have to tip the resort staff?
We absolutely think you should tip the resort staff! Make sure to bring some small bills or there is an ATM at the resort.
