Caleb and Alaina became friends back in 2019 and grew closer on the Chicago Mission trip that summer. After that Alaina started liking Caleb and eventually told him, but it was not mutual. Though Caleb always thought she was pretty cute. After that year Caleb moved on to the college group at South church while Alaina had two more years of high school left. They did not really stay in touch during this time.

Once Alaina graduated high school she also went to the college group forgetting she would run into Caleb there. The first person she saw there while walking into the student house was Caleb, it was awkward. For a while, they did not talk or hang out with each other and Alaina had her own friend group within the college group. However, through the weekend of Halloween, somehow Caleb hung out with Alaina's friend group and they started to talk to each other again. They went back to being friends like they were in high school, and Alaina picked up on a couple of things Caleb did that weekend, and she thought she might have a chance again. To her suspicions she was right. Caleb did end up liking her! He did not tell her until December because he was scared even though he knew Alaina liked him back. Shout out to Purity and Landon for giving him a loving push.

Then December 16, 2021, after watching the Spiderman movie he asked Alaina to be his girlfriend. Then May 19, 2023, he asked Alaina to Marry him. She said yes to both of those things by the way. Now they are looking forward to their wedding on May 19, 2024, and spending the rest of their lives together!
