Our ceremony will be at 3:00 pm, and the reception at 5:00 pm. In order to clean the barn and take down any decorations, we ask that guests leave at 8:00 pm. You are more than welcome to leave the venue between the ceremony and reception, or you can stay, play yard games, and mingle!

The dress code is dressy casual, we want you to be comfortable! If you'd like to wear a dress, maybe opt for something lightweight with flats (especially for walking outside). Alternatively, you can wear a light dress shirt with khakis or some lightweight bottoms. Jackets and ties are optional!

In order to stick to our agreement with the venue, we have a limited amount of leeway with our guest list. If your invitation said your name "& guest", feel free to bring a plus one!

We love kids! If your invitation says "family" on it, feel free to bring your whole household, including kids. Please be aware that we won't have any childcare available.

Whippoorwill Hill is a beautiful 130 historic farm with 2 barns and a farmhouse. All of the events for the day will be happening in the wedding barn. The farm has cattle, chickens, a donkey, and a pony. You are more than welcome to walk around and enjoy the views before or during the reception, but please refrain from opening any gates or passing any fences.

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be right outside the venue, then we will head inside for the reception. If it ends up raining, the ceremony will be moved inside.

Due to venue rules and prices there will not be alcohol provided at the wedding. We ask that you do not bring your own alcohol to not break our agreement with Whippoorwill Hill. There are lots of bars in Bloomington, or if you are looking for a night out, Indianapolis isn't too far away!

According to the venue's policy, no smoking is allowed in or around the farm buildings. There is a designated smoking area near the wedding barn.
