For those of you that don't know the story, Alaina and Andrew officially met in 2019 while accompanying two of their very good friends (bonus points if you can guess who!) on a date at one of our local restaurants, however, this wasn't a double date. This was more of a "hey want to go grab drinks with me and this guy?" sort of thing, and Alaina being one of the BEST wing(wo)men, she didn't even hesitate. Andrew tagged along most likely because he was hungry, and had no idea any one else was showing up. While their friends conversed on their date, Alaina and Andrew sat at a high top table next to them making small talk. Although they weren't on the date, at the end of the night it was a mutual decision that they were meant for each other and were absolutely in love. Totally kidding, they didn't talk again for about a year. Fast forward to September of 2020, Rogey had a bonfire at his house. Mind you, Alaina only knew Andrew as 'Rogey' so for those who always wondered why she calls him that it's because it simply makes sense. He will be Rogey to Alaina forever and always. Anyways, Andrew and Alaina chit chatted throughout the night and a few days later he asked her out to dinner. Their first date was at Dobbers in Canandaigua, now known as Finger Lakes Public House and still a place they frequent often. Conversation felt natural on their first actual date, just like it did the night they met. After a couple months of dates and hang outs, it was pretty obvious they were each other's person. *really fast forward inserting lots of core memories, laughs, tears, vacations, concerts, living together, buying a rental house, and living their best lives with their two doggos here* In October 2024, Andrew and Alaina traveled to Moab, UT for one of Andrew's best friend's weddings. Before traveling to the airport to head back home on October 6th, 2024, Andrew made the decision to take the rental car off-roading to see the sites of Canyonlands National Park. When Alaina wanted to pull over to take a photo because the views were stunning, Andrew got the ring out of his bag and got down on one knee. There were a lot of questions, a lot of freaking out, a lot of "omg what are you doing?!? This is NOT real!" moments, and then some tears. Followed with Andrew asking "Why are you crying?" (men, LOL). It was a moment they will both remember forever and there is still a giddy feeling just thinking about it. For the last 4 years Alaina and Andrew have grown so much together, supported each other through the best of times and the toughest of times, had so many laughs, and have experienced just the smallest glimpse of what life has in store. They are quickly building the life they've wanted and are so thankful that it's with each other. Alaina and Andrew are truly grateful for the love and support from their family and friends and they can't wait to celebrate this special day with you all. Having a full dance floor and a night to remember forever is exactly what they're looking forward to. Let's party!Alaina + Andrew
