In 2019, Alaina & Logan met while both attending undergraduate at Slippery Rock University and West Virginia University, respectively. The friendship began in Pittsburgh while attending a Reel Big Fish concert, a ska-band that Alaina & Logan both enjoy. In the months following, Logan drove to Slippery Rock to attend football games and watch Alaina perform in the marching band. In turn, Alaina also drove to Morgantown to attend football games and accompany Logan to his Veteran's Club events. This would mark the beginning of the relationship.

The next couple of years Alaina & Logan would experience many trials and tribulations, manifesting their love for one another. In 2020, Logan began graduate school and Alaina was finishing her undergraduate degree with an internship on the horizon. Of course, March of 2020 brought on Covid-19, throwing a wrench in any established plans. Alaina & Logan were unable to see each other for quite some time. Alaina's internship also had to be cancelled and reestablished for 2021. A blessing in disguise, Alaina's internship was moved from Pennsylvania to El Paso, Texas. Logan helped Alaina move cross country with a packed car. The experience ended up being invaluable for Alaina's career and brought Alaina & Logan even closer together. Driving across the country, meeting more family, and visiting new places together strengthened the relationship even further.

Soon after Alaina's internship, Logan graduated with his master's degree and obtained a job as an engineer working remotely. Alaina also had ambitions to complete a master's degree. After exploring programs around the country, Alaina & Logan decided Lexington, Kentucky would be the place to settle. The University of Kentucky has a very good Music Therapy program as well as Lexington being where Logan's best friend, Kierre, and family lived. Lexington being good choice, in 2021 Alaina & Logan moved in together in Lexington.

The next two years were a blessing. In fall of 2022, Logan proposed to Alaina in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, TN. Upon returning home from the proposal, many of the friends made in Lexington surprised Alaina for her birthday and the proposal with a party. The same week of the proposal, Alaina & Logan gained a new family member too, Rory. Rory is a 50 lb golden-doodle adopted from a family that no longer had the time to give her the attention she needed. Alaina & Logan took her in and have been a happy, loving family since. In January of 2023, Alaina & Logan bought their first house together. Shortly after, Alaina completed graduate school, earning her Master of Music degree in Music Therapy.

We are incredibly blessed to have a happy, loving family in a place surrounded by friends. We are excited to express their love for one another with family and friends, marking the next chapter of our lives.
