Hello! Thank you for being interested in our story!We were classmates at Stony Brook University. We took many of the same classes, served as teaching assistants for the same course, and even graduated the same year — yet somehow, we never actually met.Six years after graduation, Nicole was in residency in Yonkers while Alan stayed at Stony Brook to complete his PhD. We connected online and quickly realized that our paths had been crossing for years without us ever knowing it.We met for dinner one evening and instantly clicked. Afterward, we went to a café for coffee — where, in a memorable and slightly bizarre moment, a woman in the back began clipping her toenails. It was the perfect mix of romance and comedy, and somehow it made the night even more unforgettable. From there, the rest was history.Over time, our little family grew with the adoption of two stray cats, Mimi and Momo, who completely stole our hearts.Alan planned to propose during a trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong. He carried the ring with him the entire time, waiting for the perfect moment — but somehow, the timing never felt quite right. In the end, he proposed on the night we landed back in New York City, bringing the journey full circle in the sweetest way.We are so excited to celebrate our wedding and cannot wait to gather with our friends and family to mark the beginning of this next chapter together.
