Our story begins in 2008. Actually, only Matt’s story begins in 2008 (more on this later). 2008 was a wild time. The biggest song of the year was Flo Rida’s Low, the tenth biggest movie was Horton Hears a Who, and flip phones were still all the rage. &nbsp;It was the first day of Matt’s sophomore year. He was on a phone talking to his freshman year roommate, and as he crossed the picturesque Brandeis University campus, he saw a freshman that caught his eye. She appeared like a vision. Everything slowed down. Music that wasn’t Flo Rida’s Low probably played. This freshman was Alana. She wore a red long-sleeved sweater with black stripes. She walked with purpose. &nbsp;Unfortunately, Matt did not catch Alana’s eye. In fact, no matter how often Matt put himself in a position to catch Alana’s eye in the library, cafeteria, or again library (Alana spent a lot of time in the library), she never seemed to notice him. &nbsp;Matt wouldn’t catch Alana’s eye until November of the following year, and the only reason that happened was because a mutual friend mentioned Matt’s existence to Alana.

Fast forward to 2009. It was pretty much the same as 2008. I guess fewer flip phones. Anyway, Alana’s story begins in November when she and Matt formally met at her semi-formal. Alana thought Matt was easy to talk to so they started hanging out. They watched The OC. They took long walks across the campus. &nbsp;Matt made fun of Alana for handwriting her college papers. Alana made fun of Matt for having a nickname for her before she knew who he was. They started posting on each other’s Facebook timelines (this was when people did that, and it wasn’t weird). Alana thought Matt would be her “training wheels.” Matt didn’t like metaphors having to do with bikes. Matt went abroad, stayed up very late to talk to Alana, and assumed they were dating. Alana likes to make people laugh by saying only Matt thought they were dating while he was abroad. Whatever. Matt doesn’t care because for almost a decade Alana has called Matt her boyfriend. Matt proposed to Alana on one knee and still remembers the first time he saw her walk across the quad. In September Matt gets to call Alana his wife, and Alana will call Matt her husband.









That’s when our story begins. Yay. Love.

Philly is accessible from the east coast by driving, Amtrak or BoltBus/Megabus. Once you get into thirtieth street, you can uber/taxi to the hotel or wedding venue.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you're going to take Amtrak, we recommend booking it early to cut down on costs.&nbsp;If you're flying, its easiest to fly into Philadelphia International Airport. The WaterWorks is located at&nbsp;640 Waterworks Drive. Complementary transportation to the WaterWorks&nbsp;from the Embassy Suites and the Westin will begin at 5:30 PM on Saturday.&nbsp;Buses will also make return trips at the end of the reception.&nbsp;For those unable to use the transportation from the hotel, uber/lyfts/ are readily available.&nbsp;For those who are driving,&nbsp;complementary valet parking will be provided once you get there.&nbsp;
