Our Story

Alana and Brent met in the fall of 2022 while coaching girls basketball at St. Ursula Academy. Brent was the head JV coach, and Alana was his assistant. As the season went on, we spent countless hours talking, laughing, and, of course, playing basketball. We remained close friends after the season ended and into the following year. During the 2023 basketball season, Brent began coaching at Central Catholic — turning us from teammates into rivals. That season, our teams faced off three times, with Brent’s team winning all three… much to Alana’s dismay (and Brent’s quiet satisfaction). As summer 2024 began, we reconnected and finally went on our first date — naturally, right after a basketball tournament. We spent the day at Cedar Point, and from then on, everything just clicked. We quickly fell back into a routine of constant phone calls, texts, Snapchats, and funny videos. By the end of July, we were inseparable. After a year of dating — and many drives between Sandusky and Toledo — Brent proposed on August 16, 2025, at Gideon Owen Winery in Catawba, with the help of our family and friends. Alana said yes (obviously!) and now we are excited to share our big day with all of our loved ones!
