Our Wedding

Steven and Alana have meaning behind their fishing themed wedding. Fishing has been a big part of their relationship, from Steven sliding into her direct messages on the dating app Plenty of Fish in January of 2018 to proposing on a fishing trip on Lake Michigan of 2023. The two hit it off immediately, talking every day and enjoying getting to know one another via text messaging. It wasn’t until their first date February 3rd, that their lives would forever be entwined. He drove over an hour in a snowstorm to pick her up and even decided to try new things such as going to a ramen restaurant and dancing afterwards. After dancing the night away, he surprised her by kissing her on the dance floor. I think it’s safe to say that their love was the best thing they had found on the internet and that night was the beginning of their romance novel. Over the years of being together, Alana accepted Shelly as her own and they have become the parents to two other wonderful dogs Jeronimo and Ruby. Together the two of them have paid off thousands in debt, saved over 20% for a down payment on a house they bought, and have overcome some incredible hardships in their lives. Alana’s parents gained another son while Steven’s gained their first daughter. Steven even sold his boat since Alana’s boat was bigger. It’s been a beautiful ride for these two as they have found their best friend in one another. They have come to learn that Steven’s strengths are Alana’s learning opportunities and vice versa. Whoever thought that the chemistry geek from the city would fall in love with the country music loving mechanic. It goes to show that opposites really do attract. They both cannot wait to continue to learn about one another, to grow into their best selves, and to experience this life together as husband and wife. Stay tuned for our next chapter.

Hi everyone, Roy and Cindy met and got married June 30th, 1984 in Dodgeville WI. They had a farm together while raising 3 boys; Todd, Kevin, and Steven. It wasn’t until Alana insisted on cooking them dinner to get to know them that Cindy and Roy knew that she was special. They have enjoyed having Alana in their son’s life over the years and cannot wait until she joins the March family.

Sandra and Greg were married October 15,1988 right here in Racine, WI. Alana was born in 1992, Brianna in 1994 and Zachary in 1996. They moved to Osceola, WI in May of 2005. They are very excited to have you join them in the celebration of the marriage of Alana and Steven. Steven and the March family have been a wonderful addition to our little family!

The Gentlemen

Hey I’m Bobby. Well first of all, Steven and I have known each other a long time. Since our first day at daycare. When he told me he was engaged, I thought to myself Steven finally had a good catch when he introduced me to Alana via a picture sent of the two fishing. Steven and I have spent a lot of time creating fun memories, whether on the lake, looking for deer or watching Reba until the early morning hours. I’m excited to see the net man is landing the best catch yet. I hope she can teach him to work on this with fish near the boat.

Hi I’m Todd, Steven’s eldest brother. I’m 8 years older than him so I have been teasing him his whole life. I knew Alana was a good match for my brother when she was able to hold her own against Kevin and my teasing. Congratulations on your big day.

Hey I’m Kevin, Steven’s other brother. I’m 4 years older than him. I never wanted a sister but it’s been nice having her join our family. I enjoy when we have family game nights. I know Steven has never been happier than when he’s been with Alana.

Hi, my name is Zachary Hansen and I have known Alana for the last 27 years, she is my older sister. Growing up with Alana as a big sister was like having two moms. She has always been there for me and had my back. Steven has to be one of the luckiest guys in the world if Alana picked him to spend her life with. I am so happy that they have found each other and are starting this new life together.

Hi! I'm Caitlin. I've known Steven for 13 years and I met Alana when they started dating. Actually, it was at a garage sale at his parents house where I first met her. Since then, our friendship has grown. I am honored to be part of their special day!

A long time ago in an elementary school called Jefferson Lighthouse, Alana met a girl named Mandy and the two became fast friends. They spent time playing with Barbies and imagining their families, watching movies (like Jeremy Sumpter’s Peter Pan which made Mandy drool) and going on adventures with our families. When they were in middle school, Alana moved away and Mandy only saw her one more time when she visited the Mall of America until they reconnected after college. As the last year has unfolded, both Mandy and Alana are grateful to have each other back in their lives and having their original best friend back. Mandy can’t wait to stand next to Alana all these years later just like they had dreamed about as little girls.

My name is Mei, I’ve been friends with Alana for about six years now. I met Alana through mutual friends of ours, most of which are either in this party or here as attendees. Alana has always had a radiant smile, and vibrant energy-it was one of the first things I noticed about her. It was clear when I met her that she has this natural ability to pull in people with her warm presence, and this infectious way of bringing joy to those around her. It was impossible for me to imagine her shining any brighter than she already did. Fast forward to my favorite and earliest memory of Alana and Steven. It was Halloween, and still early in our friendship. Her and Steven had come up with matching outfits, Steven in an Orange jumpsuit, and Alana as the sexy cop. They had done this themed photoshoot. Alana had absolutely no reservations sharing her excitement about the shoot or her man. That’s where she proved me wrong, and somehow managed to shine even Brighter. There was something about the look that was exchanged, something that has always stuck with me. Thankfully, I’ve never been able to forget it, because as our friendship developed, I’ve been lucky enough to witness that same look of adoration, devotion and love only grow with time. I’m so excited for the two of them, and I cannot wait to see how their future unfolds.

Hi there, I’m Nichole. A transplant from upstate New York, with a love for food, coffee, my cat and dog, and k-dramas (your basic millennial). I met Alana through a wonderful twist of fate involving a dating app, a roommate, and a movie. Long story short, networking is great and over the past few years I’ve been blessed to come into contact with a colorful, good-willed, mismatched group of people which includes the amazing bride and groom. I am entirely grateful for these two beautiful people and cannot wait to celebrate their union together!

Alana showed up to my apartment one day when my old roommate didn’t lock the door and we immediately hit it off. It’s been nothing but sass, adventures, cosplay, giant doughnuts, fishing and antics from there. Steven came along a bit later, he has lifted her spirits,  jumped in two feet first, and stands as her pillar. He’s pretty solid. Seriously though, they’re meant to be and I’m pretty inspired by the two of them if we’re honest. Cheers guys!

Hello! My name is Ralph Binns, Entrepreneur and IT Guy extraordinaire! I met Alana at a Halloween party many years ago. At the time she was dating some curly haired guy, one of my best friends. They may not have worked together, but we decided to adopt Alana into our friend group anyway because she is such a swell lady. Then that Steven guy came along, and I suppose he's a pretty good guy too. Steven and I have almost no interests in common, but share stoic silence together whilst drinking our respective beverages. Always a fun time!

Hey, I'm Jay. I like everything nerdy which is how I ended up in a friend group full of Alana's and Steven's nerdy friends. I met the two of them four years ago when Ralph brought me to a friend's party. We've gotten together pretty regularly since then and I consider them some of my closest friends. As Alana knows, I'm about as talkative as her future husband, so hopefully she doesn't mind that I'm writing the minimum number of sentences for this introduction.
