THE FINER DETAILS: WHEN TO ARRIVE: Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM. We request guest arrive NO later than 2:45 PM. Guest who have not arrived before the start of the ceremony will not be permitted to enter the venue area until after we conclude our ceremony. We appreciate your prompt arrival time to ensure that we have our special moment, uninterrupted. WEATHER & WHAT TO WEAR: Historically, weather in Bass Lake for early October is low to mid 80s during the day & low to mid 40s at night. The ceremony will take place lake side on grass & the reception will take place on a wooden deck covered by a gazebo. This will be an all outdoor event, so dress accordingly. We do not have a strict dress code, but welcome you to come dressed to impress. ACCOMMODATIONS: As stated on the details card with the invitation, A block of rooms at The Pines Resort have been set at a discounted rate for our guests. However, these rooms are limited. So we suggest you book early to secure the rate. Or the area has a great selection of cabins on the Pines Resort website or through Airbnb. TRANSPORTATION: Uber, Lyft & taxis after dusk in the Bass Lake area are pretty non existent. Also note, bears have been seen frequently in the area roaming around. Walking a long distance at night should be avoided. There is a 24/7 taxi service available in the area. However, they require a two hour advanced notice prior to booking their services. If you would like to smoke, you will have to do so in the parking lot of the venue. PHOTOGRAPHS: We don’t mind if you take & post pictures. This will not be an “unplugged” ceremony. We do, however, request you be mindful of the photographers & stay out of their way. If you take pictures & post them, send them to us and tag us on social media! We love capturing special moments! OPEN BAR? Absolutely. The only money you need to bring is if you would like to tip the bar tenders or contribute to our honeymoon fund. Other than that, just bring your dance moves! For those of you who don’t drink, we will have tons of nonalcoholic options to enjoy! DJ: Our DJ will have a fairly strict playlist provided to him ahead of time. He has been asked to kindly not accept any song requests the night of. If there is a song you would like to hear / dance to, there will be an option to submit your request on the RSVP page when you accept our invitation!
