We first met at a Taekwondo tournament in Baton Rouge, LA—the beginning of our long-distance relationship

Dallas Taekwondo Tournament – Weapons Competition: Danny placed 2nd, and Alea placed 3rd

A few months later, we met again at the Dallas TKD Tournament. Until 2020, most of our meetups happened at TKD tournaments.

We took photos on the levee just as we were hearing about COVID. Alea had to fly home sooner than planned, but we reunited in December 2020

January 2021, nearly a year into the pandemic. Danny and his parents helped her settle into her first apartment, and just like that, our relationship was no longer long-distance. As we spent more time together, our love grew deeper, and we connected even more as a couple.

Early morning on a Biloxi Mississippi beach we had our engagement! After countless memories together and a journey that has already been filled with joy, we’ve decided to take the next step toward forever. We can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter with our friends and family.
