On New Year's Day of 2024, Alea decided to go out on a whim and sign up for a popular dating app. On that same day, John swiped right (meaning he liked what he saw) on Alea's profile. From there, they began messaging back and forth for about two weeks before deciding to have their first date. On January 13th, 2024 the two met for dinner at GrillMarx restaurant in Columbia, MD.

For Alea, it was John's striking green eyes and handiness. For John, it was Alea's spicy personality and beautiful smile. Quickly their feelings for one another began developing. Before they knew it, the two were inseparable. They talked in depth of their future together.

They spent an eventful summer together taking trips, going to events, meeting family. Alea was introduced to John's daughter Michelle.

By October 2024 they announced to close family and friends they were pregnant with a baby girl, Charlie who was born May 2025.

Things moved fast for the couple but like they say, "When you know, you know." The two are beyond excited to celebrate their love and commitment to one another and begin their happily ever after.
