Our journey began in 2010, at harbor city college. We were in the same class, human sexuality. During this time we were just friends and attended some of the same parties. Fast forward to January of 2018, we reconnected via social media. Aleah was still living in Seattle at the time, but we would text and FaceTime every day. On April 14, 2018 Aleah came down to Cali for her nephews birthday and we planned our first date. We met at Marlins place 1st to have a couple drinks and break the ice, we ended up talking so long that the restaurants had all closed and we ended up at the taco stand by his place. And unfortunately we have been running late ever since. Although the date didn’t go as planned it was perfect for us. In may of 2018, Aleah officially moved back to cali and straight into Marlins apartment (not really, she did however show up with a suitcase). Unbeknownst to Marlin she knew exactly where this relationship was headed. On June 10, 2018 Marlin asked Aleah to officially be his girlfriend. And after 5 years of living life together, traveling, raising our dog’s rascal and sly, Marlin FINALLY popped the question June 19, 2023 (Juneteenth) in Sint Maarten. Now we are here in 2024 year 6. And we are just as fun and untraditional as our 1st date preparing to solidify our union In front of all of our family and friends. Let the countdown begin💙
