Anna and Alec began dating in February of 2023, and after 1 month of being friend-zoned, 19 months of dating, 9 months of long-distance, 2 months broken up, 3 months of talking, and 3 months of dating again, Alec asked Anna to marry him.

Anna fell for the stereotypical Christian white boy sitting by a campfire with his guitar. Their interactions started with, “what kind of guitar is that?” shortly followed on their first date by, “what’s your deepest darkest secret?" then followed much later by, “marry me?”

After they started dating, their relationship showed hope for a long future. They shared a deep love for the Lord, an enjoyment of nature and music, a path towards counseling, and an incredibly similar set of values.

Through various hardships, such as long-distance and a breakup, Anna and Alec realized they did not want to spend their lives with anyone else.

Through refining fire, they noticed how good they were for each other, and decided to marry each other knowing their dreams of both being counselors would be really helpful in their commitment to fix each other. LOL, that’s a joke. They are excited to go through the counseling program at JBU together, though. Let’s be honest, Alec loves Anna as much as he loves her dad, so this is really a 2 in 1 deal. Plus, she’s got a LOADED bank account (for college student standards), but honeymoon funds are still appreciated… Their dreams include tiny children, guitars, and weekly dates to Asian restaurants.
