Bus or train are the best options to move between towns locally. You can hire a car if you choose, however, note that parking can be limited (especially in the summer months).

English is not spoken widely in the Basque country, especially in smaller towns/villages, and the Basque language is primarily spoken before Spanish. Try and learn some basic phrases (turn over), and we recommend downloading a translator app.
