Alec and Shelley's story started with two awkward eighth graders. They had loosely known each other through the school band since they were young kids, and years later, even discovered that they played on the same soccer team in kindergarten! But it wasn't until they had eighth grade gym class together that they became true friends.

When Alec asked Shelley to be his girlfriend, she was surprised but excited to date her best friend! As they grew older, so did their friendship and relationship grow and strengthen. Alec and Shelley continued their relationship through college, supporting each other and planning their lives together. After graduating, the pair found their own apartment, and after settling in at work, they adopted their cat, Smudge.

Over the years, the couple has created many memories together with family and friends and have started exploring the world together. After a wonderful and exciting eleven years together, these kids are finally tying the knot!
