Our Story

This story starts in an unassuming little place called Meadville, Pennsylvania. Britt and Alec met while pursuing undergraduate degrees at Allegheny College in 2016. Chance brought them together in NYC for a date on their spring break in 2017. They had a fun date full of food, drinks, and a never-ending conversation and began dating shortly after. However, this relationship faced one slight challenge early on - Britt and Alec lived on opposite coasts. After traveling long distances, traveling back and forth between New York, Pennsylvania, and California, Alec decided to move to California to be closer to Britt. Neither knew how or if the move would work out, but they would always regret not giving it a chance. (This pays off in the end; trust the process).

Britt and Alec have spent five years together in California. Those years include moving into an apartment together, adopting a dog (well, Britt adopted the dog, and Alec has become a loving stepdad), buying a house, and countless adventures. In late January 2023, Alec and Britt traveled to North Lake Tahoe to celebrate Britt's birthday. Alec proposed on the beach after a beautiful walk, looking at the setting sun over Lake Tahoe.

Tahoe has been a constant since they began dating in 2017. They've spent numerous trips there, creating life-long memories, including the engagement. When discussing where they would get married, they thought it only fitting we tie the knot in Tahoe. It's such a special place, and they hope you love it as much as they do. And they can't wait to create new memories with you on their big day!
