Our Wedding

Once upon a time, there was a boy that spent way too much money on coffee and a girl that made said coffee. (A honey cinnamon latte, nearly every day for going on 8 years now.) That’s where our story begins - at Amavida Coffee in Historic St. Andrews. After a week of getting to know each other and going on super cute little ice cream dates and day trips to 30A, the pair were inseparable. (Hook, line, and sinker I think he says.) 

The Start

The couple, young at first (only 20 and 23 at the time that they met), went through a lot life changes together. You know, things everyone goes through. Like a catastrophic category 5 hurricane nearly decimating your hometown and a global pandemic. Can anyone say “trauma bond”? On the other hand, the couple went through a lot of personal growth like graduating college, starting a career, expanding businesses, and buying and renovating their first home. Between the hard work, they played hard too. Car shows and race weekends, boat days, road trips, weekends at the springs, and lots and lots of dinners. They also welcomed two little pups into their life - Oslo and Bumi. With a solid foundation under their feet, it was time for the next steps.

Growth

On December 7th, 2024 at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, the boy finally popped the question! “Wanna get married?” He said. “Do I wanna? Haha sure!” she said. Very poetic. But, as usual, it’s not the words that define the boy but his actions. The whole weekend was a testament to his love for her - full of art, music, and plants. All of her favorite things. :)

The Question

Well, that’s the (very) short of it. There’s a lot more to this story but that would take forever and my phone is dying. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

St. George Island State Park and beach are 26 minutes’ drive away. The motel is also 1.1 mi from Apalachicola city center and 5 minutes’ drive from Apalachicola Regional Airport.

Featuring a garden, The Salty Snapper features accommodations in St. George Island. Guests staying at this vacation home have access to free Wifi and a balcony.
