Our Wedding

Our story began in the most unexpected way — two hearts finding each other online, right here in the U.S., just when we least imagined it. What started as simple conversations quickly blossomed into something beautiful and real. After a few months together, I had to return to Mexico, and distance became our greatest teacher — showing us that love rooted in faith can endure any miles in between. Nuestra historia comenzó de la manera más inesperada: dos corazones que se encontraron en línea, aquí en Estados Unidos, justo cuando menos lo imaginábamos. Lo que empezó como simples conversaciones pronto floreció en algo hermoso y verdadero. Después de unos meses juntos, tuve que regresar a México, y la distancia se convirtió en nuestra mayor maestra — mostrándonos que el amor, cuando está arraigado en la fe, puede soportar cualquier distancia. For almost three years, Alex traveled back and forth, each visit weaving new memories and strengthening the bond God was forming between us. Then, in October, beneath the magic of our favorite city — Mexico City — Alex asked me to be his forever. A few months later, we began a new chapter in the U.S., driving five days across the country with our dog, Luna, to bring her home with us. Durante casi tres años, Alex viajó una y otra vez, y en cada visita tejimos nuevos recuerdos que fortalecieron el lazo que Dios estaba formando entre nosotros. Luego, en octubre, bajo la magia de nuestra ciudad favorita — la Ciudad de México — Alex me pidió que fuera su compañera para siempre. Unos meses después, comenzamos un nuevo capítulo en Estados Unidos, manejando cinco días a través del país con nuestra perrita, Luna, para traerla a casa con nosotros. On May 4th, we were married by law — a quiet yet sacred beginning to our life together. Not long after, we were blessed with the gift of our son, James Emmanuel, our little angel in heaven who now watches over us and fills our hearts with light. El 4 de mayo nos casamos por lo civil — un comienzo sencillo pero sagrado de nuestra vida juntos. Poco tiempo después, fuimos bendecidos con el regalo de nuestro hijo, James Emmanuel, nuestro pequeño ángel en el cielo que ahora nos cuida y llena nuestros corazones de luz. This first year of marriage has been one of love, loss, growth, and grace. Through every joy and challenge, we have felt God’s presence guiding us closer to Him and to one another. And now, with hearts full of gratitude, we look forward to receiving the Sacrament of Marriage — to seal before God the love He so beautifully wrote into our story. Este primer año de matrimonio ha estado lleno de amor, pérdida, crecimiento y gracia. En cada alegría y en cada desafío, hemos sentido la presencia de Dios guiándonos más cerca de Él y el uno del otro. Y ahora, con el corazón lleno de gratitud, esperamos con ilusión recibir el Sacramento del Matrimonio, para sellar ante Dios el amor que Él tan bellamente escribió en nuestra historia.
