Our Wedding

**Our Story:** It all began on a bright May day in 2022. Eric was a little shy when we first met—almost nervous, like he wasn’t quite sure how to navigate this new connection. But despite the initial quiet, something was undeniably there. We decided for our first date to take a hike at Menemsha Trail, a choice that would mark the beginning of something unexpected. The trail was more challenging than either of us had anticipated, steep and a little daunting, yet somehow, we found comfort in the shared experience. As we made our way up the rugged path, the conversation flowed effortlessly between us. For the next three hours, we shared stories, laughed, and found common ground in our own little world, the stunning views around us almost secondary to the ease we found in each other’s company. It wasn’t long before the hike ended, and we stood there, in that quiet moment, realizing how much time had passed. Eric dropped me off at my house, but the spark from our conversation didn’t fade. We were both eager to talk more, to learn more about one another. So, just two hours later, he was back—picking me up with a plan to do something spontaneous. We headed straight to a fancy restaurant in Edgartown, MA, a place neither of us had been to before but where the setting felt just right. We dined, we talked, and we laughed some more, not wanting the night to end. From that moment on, we never separated again. What started as a shy encounter on a hike quickly became something undeniable—a bond that grew stronger each day. We had found something rare, and we were ready to see where this adventure together would take us. And from May 2022 onward, we’ve been inseparable, living out the kind of story we once thought only happened in the movies.

The Vineyard VTA Busses: (https://www.vineyardtransit.com/route-maps) These busses connect all towns on the island, and are now free. We think they’re great, and a very convenient option for getting from the ferry terminals in Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs to Edgartown.

September is a busy month for vacationers and weddings on the island. We encourage family and friends to stay in/around Edgartown, since that is where most of the festivities will take place. In Edgartown, you will be within walking distance to restaurants, beaches and other fun activities/experiences
