Seven years ago, two colleagues became something far more precious than coworkers—they became family. Alek and Randi first met within the bustling walls of PayPal, where a simple invitation over a cubicle wall would change everything. "Want to play Uno?" Randi asked, and with that question, a beautiful friendship was born.
What started as sneaking in card games while taking calls soon blossomed into something deeper. Their chairs migrated closer together, lunch became a daily ritual, and before long, they were sharing not just office space but life itself. Through every triumph and challenge, adventure and quiet moment, they discovered what it truly means to have someone in your corner.
Randi, with her fierce loyalty and boundless love, became the kind of friend who shows up without question. Her determination—that wonderful stubbornness when she sets her mind to something—has been both endearing and inspiring. She's the friend who celebrates your victories as her own and stands by you when the world feels uncertain.
From PayPal colleagues to card partners to chosen family, Alek and Randi have built a friendship that serves as the foundation for all the love and joy surrounding them today. A wooden stairway takes visitors all the way to the top where spectacular views await them. Roche-a-Cri State Park

As the name implies, this slow-no-wake lake is like one big shimmering mirror of outdoor splendor. There are more than 19 miles of hiking trails here. Fern Dell Trail is the longest at three miles. Don’t miss the Echo Rock Trail, a short .6 miles that delivers a vista of the lake and connects to the Ishnala Trail across a span bridge over the Mirror Lake Gorge. Pack a lunch and enjoy at one of the three designated picnic areas within the park.

The first time they met in Madison, Wisconsin, July wrapped them in its warm embrace. The summer sun painted the city in golden light as they drove in front of the State Capitol, their virtual worlds finally colliding with reality in a burst of technicolor emotion. Alek proudly showed Zackariah around his hometown, watching with joy as his digital love discovered the charm of Midwest living.
