Our Wedding

Zach and Alena met on August 27th, 2021 at the wedding rehearsal of their friends Grace and Wade Crevier. Still under COVID-19 restrictions, the two chatted in the back of the chapel. Even through their masks and the insane August heat, they found one another intriguing. Once they started talking, they were nearly inseparable the entire wedding weekend. Following the festivities, Zach and Alena exchanged contact information to keep in touch. Alena was too afraid to message him first, but to her relief, he reached out and asked her on a date. One week later, the pair went on their first date to an immersive Van Gough exhibit in Milwaukee. A date that was meant to last a few hours, turned into an all day affair. Alena didn’t get home until past midnight. Almost every weekend following their first date, Zach and Alena arranged to see one another. Alena was finishing her degree at UW Green Bay and Zach was still in his first year of his career, working long hours and traveling frequently. The distance proved to be difficult, but it worked for them. From then to now, the duo has had many adventures. Their first apartment, concerts, rides on the Harley, Bucks games, their first international vacation together, and many more. On November 17th, after months of hiding the ring and planning the perfect time, Zach sent Alena on scavenger hunt. He sent her to different places that were significant in their relationship, each met with someone who is important to the couple to deliver her clues. Finally, she ended at the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee where Zach waited for her. With no hesitation and many tears, Alena said yes. They cannot wait to be Mr. and Mrs. Ostermann!
