Our wedding will be held at the beautiful, scenic Davenport property in Saint Maries, ID, and we are overjoyed to share our special day with you. A few things to know: There will be soft drinks, beer, wine, and champagne provided. Since we will be celebrating on private property, you are welcome to bring your own beverages if you'd like. We look forward to sharing hors d'oeuvres and dinner with you. To ensure we have an accurate number of meals prepared, please be sure to RSVP. While we will do our best, we may not be able to guarantee an entrée for guests who have not responded. There will be a live band during the reception, so bring your dancing shoes and your groovy self ready to cut a rug! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Church of the Nazarene for providing such a beautiful space for our ceremony, and to Terry and Michella Davenport for opening their stunning property to host our reception. Our Wedding

Jason Waters was born in Wallace, Idaho on February 28, 1997. Alena Davenport was born in Saint Maries, Idaho on September 21, 2000. Twenty something years later, God crossed the paths of a Wallace Miner and a Saint Maries Lumberjack. Jason and Alena met at a basketball game in the winter of 2021. Alena was asked to fill in taking pictures for her mother’s photography business when her brother was sick. Coincidentally, Jason was also asked to fill in for the sick referee who was supposed to be there. This twist of fate sparked a journey that neither one of the lovebirds were expecting. Shortly after this serendipitous night, both Jason and Alena knew that they had found someone special. After spending several years dating in Moscow, ID, where they both graduated from the University of Idaho, the couple decided to adventure to Nashville, Tennessee to start a new life. Jason worked as the manager of a flagship FedEx Office store, and Alena became the trade consultant of an interior design and furniture company. While the couple thrived and enjoyed life in the big city with the southern heat, it was clear that home is where the heart is. Jason and Alena decided to move back to Idaho to be close to loved ones with the goal of opening and running a new, family steakhouse in Saint Maries. Who would have thought that this beautiful love story would begin with the line, “Hey cutie, did you get any good pictures of the referee?”

Danny and Jason met at the University of Idaho after joining the same fraternity; despite being a year apart, they became fast friends and built a lasting brotherhood. They lived together for a year after graduation, and though Danny now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, they stay close with annual golf trips and frequent visits—Danny is Jason’s steady partner-in-crime and trusted confidant, and the perfect person to stand by him as Best Man.

Zack and Jason met in 2019 when Jason was managing Shoshone Golf Club. They hit it off immediately after Zack checked in for a tee time and joked, “Are you able to serve Maker’s Mark even though it’s not 10 a.m. yet?” Jason went with his gut and made it happen, and the evening grew from there. They bonded over golf, travel, boating, and low-key hangouts at Zack’s place after he moved to Kellogg, Idaho. They still keep in close touch, and Jason and Alena are honored to be godparents to Zack’s daughter, Stella Rose. Their friendship is one built to last.

Justin and Jason have been friends since elementary school, growing up playing baseball, football, basketball, golf, and wrestling together. They were frequent practice partners on the mats—matches were always competitive, and Jason still claims he holds the overall winning record between the two. Afternoons were spent riding bikes between their childhood homes, and Justin’s time at college in Montana briefly separated them before he recently moved back to North Idaho. Today they keep the tradition of friendly golf competitions and still laugh about the old days.

Hunter and Jason grew up in Osburn, Idaho, and became fast friends despite a four-year age difference. They bonded as childhood and high school golf partners at Shoshone Golf Club and for Wallace High School. They later joined the same fraternity, and eventually co-managed the very course where they learned to play golf. Childhood friends, fraternity brothers, and business partners—Hunter and Jason share a lifelong friendship filled with friendly mischief. Most recently Hunter invited Jason on a dirt bike ride; Jason hadn’t ridden in 20 years, wiped out within sight of the start, and now Hunter still starts phone calls with asking, “How’s the shoulder healing, Jason?” They’re classic good-ol’-boys through and through.

Dylan (aka Big George) and Jason met in middle school when Dylan moved to Wallace and started at Wallace Jr./Sr. High School. Both athletes and class clowns, they turned every class project into an excuse to make everyone laugh—it’s a wonder any work got done. They played football and basketball together and became a duo nobody wanted to face. Today they still play in adult rec leagues and always make time for a round of golf. The two will have been groomsmen in each other’s weddings and are good friends to this day.

Dylan Browning

Nathan (aka Koffee) met Jason in college when they pledged the same fraternity, and they clicked instantly—studying, partying, hitting the ski mountains, and golfing together became routine. Nathan studied international business, which let them take a few classes side-by-side (a matchup no professor was ready for). Over the years they collected countless funny moments and even claimed the only two basement rooms in the fraternity their senior year, making it their own frat within the frat. For a night out, expect equal parts mischief and laughter—the photo says it all.

Jonathan and Jason met in college when they pledged the same fraternity and immediately bonded over a shared work-hard, play-hard mindset — always pushing the limits but rarely crossing the line. Long nights, endless laughs, and countless memories cemented a lifelong friendship. Jonathan now lives in Atlanta, and the two have kept their tradition of visits and new adventures, including extra-good times during Jason’s stint in Nashville.
