Alesha and Blake’s story began in 2015 on the breathtakingly quaint server’s alley at Longhorns Steakhouse of Dawsonville. Alesha was working as a server, getting her associate degree. Blake was also at the University of North Georgia getting his bachelor’s degree, and worked as a food runner. This was not a love-at-first site kind of experience though if that is what you expected. At the time, Blake and Alesha could not have been more different. Alesha was focused on making money and accomplishing her goals. Blake was just having fun in his last year (or two) of college, and was what Alesha referred to as a “Typical Frat Boy”. Alesha would always keep Blake in check and in line. The two would constantly toss sarcastic remarks back and forth to each other at work. In fact, it is even rumored that Alesha could not stand Blake at that time… but here we are today! Alesha went on to continue her education, working, and began a new journey as a mother. Blake graduated in the spring of 2016 and moved on to his next phase in life. They would both move on with separate lives, maybe sending an occasional friendly snap chat back and forth. Blake would find himself always send Alesha messages in her DM’s joking around and keeping up the sarcastic fun. After a few years apart, Blake found out that Alesha became available. He jumped on the chance to ask her out. They met up at a cute little breakfast diner near Alesha’s college campus called Waffle' House. After that date, both knew that the attraction and love was there, but they both needed a little more time to knock off the cold feet. Finally, they both went all in with one another. In October of 2022, Blake officially asked Alesha to be his girlfriend, and (of course) she said yes!&nbsp;

Finding Love In the Alley 

For the past few years, Blake and Alesha have loved the beach. Each year they took a vacation to Hilton Head (somehow always on the week of Alesha's birthday). In 2023, this was different. As most know, Blake has a love for surprising others. The beach trip this year would be extra special. Blake had everything planned out perfectly. The plan was to get engaged the last day of the trip on the beach in front of the ocean. Picture perfect story for the end to a great trip. Well, it would have been. The day before the big proposal, Alesha thought Blake was being hiding something from her (rightfully so). One thing led to another, and Alesha was mad at Blake. As the evening got late, things were of course tense. The two were arguing and finally Blake had enough. He did not want to go to bed angry and spend most of the next day having Alesha mad at him on the last day of the trip. Finally, Blake just grabbed the ring box, walked back into the bedroom, and told Alesha the truth. He said, "Do you want to know why I have been secretive? Well, here it is." Blake dropped to one knee with a ring in his hand, and Alesha's mouth dropped to the floor. After about 30 seconds she was finally able to utter the word "yes". The plan went a completely different way than expect, but hey this was even more of a true testament to the couples’ love.

This 3-star hotel is the shortest distance from the venue! It is in a cluster on the same road with two other hotels listed. They also provide a buffet style hot breakfast each morning. and have a mini convenience store in the lobby. It has a 4.5 rating and is located 13-15 minutes, or 9.3 miles, to the venue. The unique thing is **this hotel allows pets up to 75 pounds**!

Hampton Inn Atlanta-Canton

This Hotel has the highest rating of suggested hotels in the area with a 4.7 rating. It is 10 miles, or 15-20 minutes, from the venue. There is Free Continental and Grab 'n go and Hot Breakfast. There is also a mini convenience store located within the hotel, and a pool with towels provided. **This hotel is pet friendly**!

Fairfield Inn & Suites Canton Riverstone Parkway

This hotel comes with a complimentary self-serving, buffet-style breakfast. Check out is also not until 11:00AM. It is 10 miles, or 15 minutes on average, to the venue. It also has a 4.6 rating!

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Canton, an IHG Hotel

Comfort Inn and Suites is located about 9.5 miles, or 15 minutes, from the venue. It offers a free hot breakfast, and also has an indoor swimming pool. It has a 4.3 rating as well!

Comfort Inn & Suites

This 3-star hotel seems to be the most financially friendly option. It has a complimentary hot breakfast, an indoor/outdoor heated pool, and an in-hotel market place. With a 4.1 rating, this hotel is 9.5, or 15 minutes from the venue!

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Canton, GA

If you are looking for a unique experience and don't mind a little bit longer of a drive, this 4 star hotel is located in the heart of Alpharetta. There is a roof top bar and pool area, a large gym, luxury rooms and suites, and above a gourmet restaurant. It sits on the edge of a high end shopping and dining complex. Hotel Avalon is about 20-25 miles from the venue, but is very easy 35 minute drive!

Fun are for family dining and shopping. This area is located near most of the hotels and is about 15 minutes from the venue.

Very laid back breakfast spot with great food. Located on the main downtown area of Ballground.

Sunrise on Main

Nice hometown brewery located in the heart of downtown Ballground. They allow you to bring in your own food if you would like. They have tons of board games and an outdoor seating area that is shaded.

Rock Solid Brewing

Great hometown food truck and restaurant located in the heart of Ballground. They also are near Rock Solid brewery.
