Our Story

Alex and George met in the Spring of 2013, at their Alma Mater, Pitt-Johnstown. It was Greek Week 2013, and both had been spending the evening cheering on their respective houses, Alpha Sigma Alpha ( ASA) and Acacia (AKAK). That evening, ASA's brother frat, Kappa Delta Rho (KDR), was having a party. George decided to make the snowy trek across campus, only to be left by his AKAK companions. Alex overheard him telling a KDR boy that his friends left, so she introduced herself, and took him to hang out with her friends. There was an instant connection, and Alex and George spent the entire night dancing, listening to music with the late night crew, and then talking until the sun came up. Unfortunately, neither one got the other's contact info.

Wanting to see him again, Alex took her sister, Julianne, to AKAK's party the next evening. Unfortunately, it was their frat's 40th anniversary, and the girls were scared off by middle aged men making passes at them. That night, against her sister's advice, Alex found George on facebook and added him as a friend. The next day, George sent her his phone number on facebook.

The two texted back and forth, and made plans to see each other again after Alex came back to UPJ after Easter. Their first "date" consisted of them watching random Bruce Willis films in George's room, and getting to know each other better. After that, the two became inseparable, and saw each other every day until Alex graduated.

A few months later, George worked up the courage to tell his family that he had a girlfriend, and he sent Alex a relationship request on facebook. Three years, 2 graduations, nursing boards, new jobs, 2 dogs, and a house later, George popped the question! Now, after four years of dating and a 20 month engagement, they're finally tying the knot!

George would like to note, some of his friends eventually came back to the party at KDR for him.
