On April 7th, 2016, Gabbi decided to attend her first high school boys' volleyball game on a whim with some of her friends from class. Alex was a junior in high school at the time and was on the Oak Hills volleyball team. The two had not met or even known about each other, but that day they met their best friend and future Bride/Groom.

They attended the University of Cincinnati where they would make endless memories. From late nights completing schoolwork to partying with friends the two found themselves falling in love more each day. Gabbi would go on to achieve her Bachelor's and Master's of Architecture. Alex completed his Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and they would both graduate in May of 2022.

On June 7th, at the Chicago Botanic Garden, Alex proposed to Gabbi. They now own a home together with their two dogs, Mochi and Olive, where they work as a team to take on all the new challenges and joys life has to offer.
