There is something special about a friendship like mine and Alli's. It kept me from ever leaning into feelings for her, despite years of back and forth consideration, prayer, confiding in counsel of closest friends.

One day, it just clicked. The thought perservered in my mind that there was only one person I would want to traverse the highs and lows of life with, serve the Lord with, learn and grow with. I prayed for weeks, proclaimed my feelings, and have found the answers to years of prayer in Alli. This day marks the culmination of years of prayer, not only from myself but from so many people that love Alli and I deeply. Our relationship is a reminder to trust in God's timing: He knew the steps He was ordering for us better than I ever could have orchestrated.
