Alex and Tyler first met when Alex was the flower girl and Tyler was the ring bearer in a wedding at the young age of 4 and 5. About 22 years later, Tyler's best man, Brian, and Alex's dad, Doug, were out in Napa Valley for a trip to the wineries. After a few bottles of wine, they decided to Facetime both Alex and Tyler separately to inform them of their plan to set them up. Both Alex and Tyler laughed and brushed it off. Turns out they were serious about this plan and continued to give both Alex and Tyler a hard time about making plans to go out together. Tyler finally caved (months later) and reached out to Alex. They immediately hit it off and have been together ever since

On February 17, 2024, Tyler and Alex came in town from KC for a "family birthday party" that they were planning to attend on Saturday. Before heading to the party, they decided to go grab a drink at Busch Family Brewery. After arriving, Tyler took Alex for a walk in the snow and popped the question! They were welcomed at the door by all of their friends and family to celebrate. It couldn't have been a more perfect evening!
