Alex and Natalie met online, where Alex's first move was to pretend he could beat Natalie's Sudoku record of 24 seconds. He failed miserably.

Their first date was sometime in November 2018 (they can't remember exactly), and involved watching dogs, star gazing, cheese cake, nerd checks (Natalie knows her balrogs), and crazy family stories. It was a night that kept dragging on because neither of them wanted to leave.

It took a funeral for them to say "I love you," and it has been weird and wonderful ever since. They watch the movies Natalie should have watched 20 years ago, and Alex is learning new cuisines.

In 2020 they moved in together and adopted their beloved cats Cricket and Winnie (you've probably heard of them), and have moved together twice since then.

On February 10th, a surprisingly warm sunny day and the first day Natalie had off in weeks, Alex took Natalie out for breakfast (which is her favorite). They went for a walk in a local park, and he asked her to marry him next to the lake with a peach ring (her favorite).

They tried to keep it a secret until they had the real fancy ring, but that determination did not last the 20 minute drive home. Now they share their joy with all of you, and hope you can support them on this new phase of their journey!
