Alex and Mason first met at First Baptist Church at a youth event when they were teenagers. Soon after the event, Mason asked Katy Langston for Alex’s number. (Thanks Kate!)
Alex and Mason went on a few dates as early teens. They both were too young to drive, so their parents had to take them to places like the mall, and to see A Christmas Carol at Temple Theatre.
As they grew up they went their separate ways and graduated college. Not long after beginning their careers and adult lives, COVID-19 began, and Mason went back to Sanford to spend quarantine with her family.
Masons friend Calie came to visit North Carolina and wanted to visit one of her favorite stores in Greenville. Shortly after walking in Mason recognized Alexs brother Neil working there and asked about Alex.
Weeks after her encounter with Neil, Mason still had memories on her mind from all of those years ago with Alex and decided to reach out to him on social media. Not long after reconnecting Alex and Mason started dating while Mason was in Sanford. Two months later, Mason had to return to Greenville to start her third year of teaching where they continued to date while doing long distance.
Since their reconnection, together they have made countless memories traveling, spending time with friends, going to concerts, and hosting dinners for their favorite people.
Now, three years later, they are both back in Sanford together where it all began.
