Alex and Conor first crossed paths in Missoula during the summer of 2019 while attending the University of Montana. They both worked as summer camp counselors for Campus Recreation Youth Camps at the University. During their staff training week, they were put in the same team building group while on a staff camping retreat at Holland Lake, about 30 miles north of Seeley. Alex and Conor became friends and remained so for about a year. Fast forward to the summer of 2020 and Alex and Conor were both working as camp counselors yet again. This is where their story begins. After a year of friendship, Conor finally made the first move. They have been together ever since.

After starting their relationship, Alex and Conor both lived in Missoula for the next year. Upon graduating from UM, Conor got a job working in his hometown of Butte, America and moved back to Butte in the summer of 2021. Alex was still working toward her degree in Missoula at the time, so she and Conor chose to do long-distance for one more year until she completed her degree. They saw each other as often as they could, driving back and forth between Missoula and Butte any chance they got.

Despite the distance, Alex and Conor both knew that they were in it for the long haul. In March of 2022, while Alex was finishing her last semester at UM and they were living in two different cities, Alex and Conor took a leap of faith and purchased a home together in Butte. Alex finished her degree and officially moved to Butte in the summer of 2022 and is now teaching math in the Butte School District. Conor is Currently working in operations at Montana Resources.

Now living happily in Butte and building their life together, Alex and Conor are proud pet parents to their dog, Django, and cat, Camper.

Conor proposed to Alex on the front step of their home in March of 2023. As they continue to grow with and learn from each other, Conor and Alex are so excited to share their love story and the start of their next chapter with you all on June 29, 2024!
