Alex and Carson met in 2012 right after Carson left his first class at a brand new high school. He remembers turning the corner and Alex walking right up to him and introducing herself. Although he didn't think much of the introduction at first, it clearly left an impression on him because he still remembers the yellow shirt, blue jeans, and Sperry shoes she was wearing. Alex remembers being determined to meet the cute new guy that drove the electric blue Nissan that all of her friends were nervous to talk to and her parents would say was "too old" for her.

They continued the rest of the year as nothing more than acquaintances, but developed a friendship at a summer camp following the school year. Alex lost her voice and Carson teased her, and that was where their well-known banter began. From that week forward, they developed feelings for each other and they have been practically inseparable ever since. On September 20, 2013, Carson asked Alex to be his girlfriend at a high school football game. After 7 years, Carson proposed to Alex on New Years Eve.

Alex and Carson will be getting married the day after their 11 year anniversary. Through the many phases of life and the ups and downs they have experienced, the one thing that has never changed is that Alex and Carson go through these together. Their love has been a constant in their lives and it has grown every single day. They feel so blessed and thankful that God brought them together so long ago.
