Our Wedding

Our story started with a swipe on Hinge and a little encouragement from the people who know us best. We’re both very grateful that Sara (bridesmaid) convinced Lauren to go on the date and that Alex’s dad gave him the push he needed, too. As it turns out, they may have known something we didn’t.Our first date was putt-putt golf, which turned out to be the perfect way to break the ice. Alex showed up in one of his fun shirts, and the 6'5" to 5'4" height difference was an easy conversation starter. Between a little friendly competition, some missed shots, and a lot of laughing, it quickly became clear how easy it was to be around each other.Putt-putt went by in a flash, but we were not quite ready for the night to end. So, we found some live music and kept the date going. What we thought would be a quick stop turned into hours of talking and getting to know each other. Somewhere between the songs and the conversation, we started to realize there was something special happening… we had that kind of feeling that makes you think, did I just find my person?Of course, there was still one very important test ahead: Lauren’s beloved Finny.Finn, the cutest puppy in the world and a very tough judge of character, doesn’t easily warm up to new people. So, when he met Alex and immediately liked him, it felt like the most important approval Lauren could have asked for.Over the next three years, life filled up with the moments that make you realize you’re building something different: fun adventures, lots of concerts, and countless memories with family and friends. The people closest to us started noticing something too: how we love celebrating each other, how easily we play off each other’s humor, and how much fun we have just being together.Somewhere along the way, Alex made it official with a proposal that Lauren gleefully said yes to. But by then, we had already realized something important: in this life, there’s no one else we’d rather spend it with. And now we can’t wait to celebrate with all our favorite people in one room making memories, sharing laughs, and dancing the night away together.

Let me tell you about Emily. We’ve been friends since first grade, when we spent hours making hermit crab houses and filling our days with endless adventures. Over the years, no matter how far life took us apart, she has always been a constant presence, she is the kind of friend where time and distance doesn’t matter; we just pick up right where we left off. Our conversations are always full of meaning, shaped by shared experiences and the deep love we have for each other. I feel incredibly lucky that life gave me a life long friend like her, and I can’t imagine celebrating this day without her by my side.

I first met Sara through Emily, who with her incredible instinct, set us up as roommates. The connection was immediate, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to share a home with.
We quickly discovered how much we share a passion for our careers, music, a love for dogs and above all, a genuine love and loyalty for the people closest to us. I like to pretend that she convinced me (though it didn’t take much) to take the leap and get a dog, who has since become the most special pup in my life and it was only fair she became his godmother. Her devotion and love for those she cares about inspires me every day. Living with her showed me what true friendship looks like, and I can’t imagine celebrating this day without her by my side.

I met Esther while I was living in Australia, and she’s living proof that life brings the right people into your world at the right time. From the start, our friendship felt effortless, built on our shared love for fashion, self-care, and that natural sense that we were always meant to be part of each other’s lives.

I’ll never forget the days we spent soaking up the sun, exploring the city, and introducing me to amazing friends. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering support have meant so much to me, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this special day.

Haylee may be Alex’s sister, but she has become a true friend and the little sister I always wished I had. Her playful sense of humor means I can always count on her for a laugh, and together, we’re already scheming ways to drive Alex delightfully mad. A tradition we fully intend to continue for the rest of his life.

Beyond her fun-loving side, her ambition and drive are inspiring. Sharing adventures, laughter, and everyday moments with her has shown me what it means to have a sister and a friend all in one. I feel so lucky to have her in my life, and I can’t wait for memories to continue.

Kelsea may technically be Alex’s cousin, but these days I just think of her as my cousin too. She was actually the first member of Alex’s family I met, and it couldn’t have been a better fit. We connected immediately, she is so naturally caring and thoughtful, which allowed me to be completely myself around her and makes every moment together feel effortless. In fact, just one month into dating, I even got her seal of approval that Alex and I could get married! She’s incredibly caring and always ready to drop everything for the people she loves. I’m thrilled that we’re officially becoming family. I can’t wait for movie nights, laughter, and all the memories we will continue to share. I feel so fortunate to have her standing by my side to celebrate this day.
