Our Wedding

Alex and I met back in March of 2019. My best friend from high school attended welding school in Florida where she met Alex. He was helping her fix her truck. She began talking with him about me and showed him a few of my Instagram photos. He was interested in me and asked her for my Snapchat information. I became sick so it took me a while to accept his friend request. I also did not want a long-distance relationship with someone, so I told him we could be friends. A few months later, he came to Kentucky so that we could meet in person and we ended up going on a double date with my friend and her boyfriend. A few more months after that, he asked me to be his girlfriend and I was elated! Over time, we began falling in love with each other. We continued our long distance relationship by traveling to either Kentucky, North Carolina, or Tennessee to spend time together. Eventually, we decided that we wanted to live together so he bought a house and I moved to North Carolina in March of 2022. The next year, in our backyard during a Christmas photo shoot, he proposed to me. His cousin helped him plan out the proposal. We parked his truck in the yard, put up a Christmas tree next to the truck bed, and decorated the bed of the truck to look Christmas-y. During one of the photos, I was pointing at the tree to tell him where to hang an ornament on the tree. He quickly hung it and grabbed another ornament that was on the tree. When he turned around, he got down on one knee. I had no clue what was going on. I looked down and realized that the ornament opened and there was a ring inside. He asked me to marry him and I said, YES! We are both so excited for our big wedding day!
