We hope you’ll understand why we’ve chosen for our reception to be adults-only! All invited guests have been named on the invite, and for those non-adult attendees (not 18+) joining the ceremony and dinner, we just ask that you coordinate care once the reception begins!
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
The ceremony begins at 5 PM, but the venue doors open at 4:30 to begin welcoming guests.
Will I need to change locations to get to the reception?
No! The ceremony and reception will both take place at The Gala 417.
Will the ceremony or reception take place outside?
No, both will take place inside the venue, though you’re welcome to step out on the front patio or back terrace during cocktail hour or the reception to enjoy the marina’s waterfront view!
Where should I park?
There is limited parking available in front of the venue, and additional parking around back (in a shared lot with InletFitness). However, we do recommend that guests ride share or arrange for transportation so that they can celebrate and partake in the libations!
What’s the food + drink situation?
Dinner will be plated based on your selection at the time of RSVP and the fully-stocked bar will be open!
Do you have a wedding hashtag?
We do! We’d love for you to tag your posts, stories, or shares #ForTheLoveofDeJesus
Where should I stay if I’m traveling or prefer to stay in a hotel close to the venue after the wedding?
The couple recommends the Delta Marriott (linked in the Lodging section)! While the hotel could only allow 10 rooms in the discounted room block, this hotel is closest to the venue and has stellar waterfront views. Two other hotel recommendations have been linked in Lodging section as well, and are located ~15 min from the venue in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach.
Is there anything to do on Friday evening?
Yes! Come join us Friday evening from 7-9 PM at the Tides Coastal Kitchen inside the Delta Marriott for Welcome Drinks at the cash bar if you’re in town! We know the wedding day will be a whirlwind, so we would love to be able to spend some more time with any friends and family that can stop by.
