Our story began around December of 2019 when Alex Dienes met one of his best friend’s Tyler Chambers for lunch at his office – Gemlux (an outrigger boating supply company). During this afternoon lunch, Alex would meet Kaylee Edwards who asked Alex how tall he was and if he was single. Tyler then stated, “Do you see him standing in the door frame, he’s basically a giraffe.” Kaylee quickly replied, “Well I may have a very tall friend who would like to meet you. Her name is Kinsey Radloff.” Some more words were exchanged and it looked to be a future blind date/meeting on the horizon.

Fast forward some weeks, Kinsey would finally meet this “tall man”, during a night out at the Jacksonville Beach Bars. Kinsey was enjoying a social night out with Kaylee while Alex was basically doing the same with a group of his close friends. It was at the world famous Ritz bar, a great place to meet since 1945, where Kinsey and Alex would stumble upon each other in person for the first time. (Photo from this night) Was it love at first sight?!?! We think so. Both Alex and Kinsey enjoyed some drinks, small talk, and a little late night dancing at The Ritz before splitting apart into the Beach Bars night. Thankfully, Alex was smart enough to ask for her number.

Their first date was shortly after they met, at Taco Lu. Lots of margaritas were poured and they had a fantastic night. Alex wasn’t quite living in Jacksonville yet, and says he didn’t ghost Kinsey… (Debatable) So they lost touch for about a month after the New Years. In February, on Valentine’s Day, Alex sent Kinsey a Snap Chat that said, “Come pick me up.” As Kinsey was not an Uber driver, she said heck no! They continued chatting via Snap Chat and he ended up inviting her to a 50th birthday party the following night.

The night of the birthday party, Kinsey asked what she should wear (she thought this was a casual house party). Thank God she asked, and Alex informed her it was semi-formal. When they arrived at the birthday party, Alex says, “oh… my parents are here!” Kinsey internally started freaking out and had to run to the bathroom to take a moment. This was their second date and she was already meeting the parents. If you know Vic and Suz then you know they are easy to love and know how to party. Kinsey immediately fell in love with them and had a great night.

To get pay back at Alex, Kinsey invited Alex to a party and told him to wear a suit. Little did he know, it was the ROAR of the Jaguars end of the year banquet. Although now, Alex was the one feeling slightly nervous around many of Kinsey’s close friends. The night would be a huge success as Kinsey and Alex grew closer together.

Many months of dating, going to weddings, moving in together, adopting their first kitty, etc, would finally lead up to the moment Alex climbed atop the St. Augustine Lighthouse to get down on one knee and ask to spend forever with Kinsey.

The past year of being engaged, planning a wedding, and living life together has been amazing. We can’t wait to enjoy this wonderful day with all of our family and friends. Thank you so much for being a part of our story!
