If you have some extra time around Chicago during our wedding weekend and would like to take in the sites, we highly recommend the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour. This is such a great way to see all the beautiful architecture in Chicago from a unique vantage point along the river and/or Lake Michigan! Pro tip: Book a later evening tour to see the city light up.
If breweries are your thing and you're looking for a pre-ceremony hangout spot, check out Midwest Coast Brewing Company, conveniently located directly next to our wedding venue! Have a local beer (or five) before making your way to Walden for our ceremony Saturday evening.
If you're looking for deep dish pizza, Lou Malnati's is the go-to that never disappoints. But, don't sleep on Chicago tavern style pizza...
If you want to divert from the standard deep dish tourist route, Pat's is our favorite Chicago tavern style pizza with its cracker thin crust.
Venture up north to the beautiful Lincoln Park neighborhood and grab a cocktail with a view at J. Parker, a rooftop bar right off Lake Michigan. From there, you may find yourself stumbling into one of many local neighborhood bars and restaurants. A couple of our favorite nearby bars are Corcoran's and Fireplace Inn. Our favorite nearby restaurants are Armitage Alehouse, Twin Anchors, Athenian Room, and Topo Gigio.
Finally, go check out Chicago's very own Wrigleyville. This is Alex & Brian's neighborhood, so recommendations are aplenty.
For those wanting a true Wrigleyville experience, just DIY a pub crawl up Clark Street. Check out Al's for a classic Chicago Italian Beef (dipped, with cheese and hot peppers - thank me later).
For those looking for something a little more upscale, head a few blocks west to Southport Ave and try Tango Sur, Coalfire, or Little Goat Diner.
