Alex Stauffer and Alex met when they became roommates while Alex was in grad school at UW-Milwaukee. Alex S. was there to listen to all the ins and outs at the beginning of our relationship!

Brianna was Alex's first roommate when she moved to California. Bri lives on the central coast of California with her husband, Patrick, and just welcomed a sweet baby boy, Leo!

Brooke and Alex met through Donovan, our officiant and one of Mfoniso's groomsman; Brooke was Donovan's girlfriend at the time (now wife)!  Brooke and Donovan live in MKE (forever!) with their two rescue pups, Colby and Portis.

Chelsea was Alex's longest roommate while living in California.  Chelsea lives in Southern California with her husband, Michael.  Alex and Mfoniso were thrilled to witness their wedding in Lake Como, Italy.

If you are flying in, MKE is your best bet! We live 5 minutes from the airport, and our venue is 20 minutes north of the airport.

General Mitchell Airport (MKE)

Traveling from O’Hare International Airport to Milwaukee can be conveniently accomplished via bus or train. Here are the available options: Bus Services:Coach USA Airport Express: This service offers multiple daily departures from O’Hare to Milwaukee, with a journey time of approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes. The earliest bus departs at 6:30 AM, and the latest at 9:30 PM. Ticket prices range from $38 to $41. Train Services:Amtrak Hiawatha Service: Amtrak provides seven round trips daily between Chicago and Milwaukee. While there isn’t a direct train from O’Hare, you can take the Metra North Central Service from O’Hare Transfer Station to Chicago Union Station, then transfer to the Amtrak Hiawatha line to Milwaukee. The Hiawatha Service has multiple departures throughout the day, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 7 minutes between Chicago and Milwaukee. Considerations:- Advance Booking: It’s advisable to book your tickets in advance, especially for weekend travel, to secure availability and potentially better fares.- Schedule Confirmation: Schedules are subject to change. It’s recommended to confirm the latest schedules and any service advisories closer to your travel date.- Transit Between Services: If opting for the train, ensure you account for the transit time between O’Hare and Chicago Union Station when planning your journey.

Welcome to our home!   Unfortunately, we discovered that 11,000 Northwestern Mutual employees will be in Milwaukee for their annual conference the same weekend as our wedding (booo!), so a lot of the popular hotels are going to be limited.  Please book a room as soon as possible!   You may also be interested in looking at Airbnb and VRBO!    The wedding venue is near the lake in Shorewood and the welcome event is near the lake in the Bay View neighborhood, which is closer to the airport.
