Our Wedding

We first really talked about whether we thought we would get married when on a little Cape weekend in November of 2022, sitting on the porch under a starry sky, a year into dating and knowing we had both found and fallen in love with our person. The answer was yes, definitely some day. Fast forward two and a half years later, we got engaged in that same spot on June 16th this year, Colby catching Alex totally by surprise, with a drone that not only captured footage but was part of the plot! After realizing he was serious, her quick answer was ‘yes of course!’ We are so excited to celebrate with you all in this special place on our wedding weekend next summer!

Getting to the Cape Airport: Boston Logan International, Boston MA. From the airport, we recommend renting a car (several options available). <a href="https://www.massport.com/logan-airport" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.massport.com/logan-airport</a>. From there, it is about a 1 hr 30 minute drive to East Falmouth. Note, traffic in the summertime can sometimes make drives closer to 2 hours, particularly on Thursday and Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. Bus: If you don’t want to rent a car, there are also bus options from Boston that leave from South Station (Peter Pan). <a href="https://peterpanbus.com/locations/massachusetts/falmouth/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://peterpanbus.com/locations/massachusetts/falmouth/</a> Providence, RI also has an airport and train that is an alternate option. The city is also about an hour and a half away from our site, with no traffic. When Driving/ General FYI: Falmouth is a good sized town. We will be celebrating specifically in East Falmouth.

Accommodations: We strongly recommend you book your accommodations as soon as possible, as the Cape in the summertime is busy and places book up early.

We highly recommend Airbnb or other room exchange accommodation options when staying in the area on the Cape. There are many in the area, and can be more informal and/or less expensive options than hotels in the area. If you prefer hotels, here are a few we have blocks at for the weekend.

Hotels

Our event code is 90111. This hotel would require a 2 night minimum to be part of the Glowacky/Sturgis room block. The rates are $219 per night for double occupancy plus tax and service fees.

ShoreWay Acres Inn & Cape Cod Lodging

This hotel also would require a 2 room minimum to use the event code 2608GLOWSTURG as part of the designated block. The rates are $365 a night plus tax and fees. Note: This is the hotel closest to our venue, and may serve as a launch point for wedding shuttles.

In addition to these hotels, there are many others the Inn on the Square, Beach Breeze Inn, Falmouth Tides, The Town and Beach Motel, and the Inn on the Sound.

Travel

Opt Outside 

The Shining Sea is a must-hit for us when we’re in town. A beautiful, well maintained pathway that is almost 11 mi long, it has woods, marsh, and beach views. Our favorite stretch is between central Falmouth and Woods Hole, about 3 mi one way. You can bike (there’s a rental shop nearby the central Falmouth parking area called Corner Cycle), but this is also a great spot for a long nature walk or run.

A short lovely nature walk of about a mile, with a great surrounding view once you get out to ‘the Knob’. Out and back this takes 30 min or more, depending on how much you want to take time to soak in views.

There are several public beaches in Falmouth for those who want to get their feet sandy. Falmouth beach on Surf Dr is a popular one, but there are several in the area to choose from.

Beebe Woods is a large natural area with several walking trails. There is also the Punch Bowl swimming hole, so you may want to bring a bathing suit and towel when exploring the paths. Beebe is well shaded, so great for warmer days.

Eat & Drink

Some of our favorite coffee shops and restaurants in the area are Cape Cod Coffee, Coffee Obsession, Anejo, Bad Martha’s, Osteria La Civetta, Trevi, and Shipwrecked. The Falmouth patisserie also has incredible morning bites. For those who may want some fun sips, Bad Martha’s and Shipwrecked have good drinks. The Cape Cod Winery is also a great spot.

Town Hop and Shop

A very cute and bustling Main Street with shops, food spots, and some lovely park spaces.

Downtown Falmouth MA

Woods Hole is an adorable subset of Falmouth, with a small but cute downtown area and is also an oceanographic research hub. The ferry to Martha’s Vineyard also leaves from here. If in town early, the island is worth the quick boat ride!

Other Activity Options

Boating: There are lots of options in the area for boat charters, fishing trips, and the like if you want to get out on the water. If this is of interest, plan to book well in advance.

Golf: There are several public courses in the area. We recommend Falmouth Country Club (which has public access). They offer rounds of both 9 and 18.
