Alex and Sarah met at a comedy show featuring their mutual friends at Truman State University. Later that night, Alex's roommates had an after party at their house where Sarah and Alex got to talking. Alex knew he loved Sarah by how she talked to people as if she really wanted to know and understand them. He offered to grab her a phone charger and turn off one of the lamps by her. Sarah knew she loved Alex by the way he always took care of her (and by how he's always kept her phone charged!).
