Can I bring a date?
We have worked to create a guest list of our closest friends and family to celebrate with us, as we are keeping this as intimate as possible we ask that no additional guests are added unless specified on your invitation.
Are children invited?
While we would love to see all of the kids, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult-only event (the only exceptions being the little ones in our bridal party/immediate family).
We hope you understand & can enjoy a fun adult night!
Is there a dress code?
Our dress code is casual dressy. Nice jeans with a button-up or blouse are perfect, and casual dresses work too. We ask that everyone skip super casual items like old T-shirts or overly distressed clothing.
What if I can’t make it?
Your presence will surely be missed!
If you’re unable to attend, please RSVP accordingly by the requested date so we can finalize our plans.
If you’ve already RSVP’d “yes” but something changes, please let one of us know directly.
For those who can’t be there in person, a livestream of the ceremony will be available to watch remotely.
Can I take pictures at the ceremony?
We ask that you join us in being fully present during our ceremony by putting away your phones and cameras. We’ve hired professional photographers to capture every special moment, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
Will the wedding be held outdoors?
We’re hoping to celebrate with an outdoor fall ceremony and reception to enjoy the beautiful season—weather permitting! But don’t worry, we’ve made cozy backup plans just in case Mother Nature has other ideas.
Is there a smoking section?
For our guests who smoke, there will be a clearly marked smoking section available. We kindly ask that you use this space and help us keep the area clean by disposing of any waste properly.
Do you have a gift registry?
Your presence on our special day is the greatest gift of all! We don’t have a traditional registry, but if you’d like to contribute, we’re accepting donations toward our home and honeymoon.
A card box will be located clearly in the reception room, this can also be sent via any platform if you reach out to us directly.
Where is the wedding?
Our wedding will be held at Schafer Century Barn
1628 280th St, Adair, IA 50002
The barn is tucked into the Iowa countryside, just off I-80 near Adair. When you arrive, you’ll see a circular gravel drive around the barn—perfect for quick drop-offs and unloading before heading to the designated parking area across the street.
Please keep vehicles on the gravel (not the grass) so the grounds stay beautiful for everyone.

What time should we arrive?
Our ceremony begins at 3:30 PM sharp at Schafer Century Barn.
We recommend arriving between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM to park, find your seat, and enjoy the fall scenery before things begin.
When should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by Saturday, September 12, 2026 so we can finalize our headcount for food, seating, and all the little details that make the day special.
