Clear Creek is often referred to as the heart of Golden. The creek flows from the Clear Creek Canyon and courses down through the center of Golden. While often busy with fisherman, kayakers, and rafters, it is also bordered by many trails and parks. Clear Creek Trail, for one, is a paved 2-mile trail open dawn to dusk. This trail also connects with larger trail systems to include 6th avenue trail, the Greater Clear Creek trail, and Peaks to Plains trail.
If hiking isn’t your thing or you are looking to explore more of Clear Creek, follow the river west along Highway 6 for beautiful canyon views!
If locally owned boutiques, coffee shops, or breweries are more your style, then Golden is the place for you! Spend some time exploring Washington Ave and all the shops that makeup downtown.
